The Atlantic used to be a respectable magazine. But like most MSM outlets, it's been taken over by pampered Ivy League snots with little real world experience. The result is an insular, snarky, far-left rag with little to offer. And this is happening just as the internet and new journalism are presenting the MSM with its greatest challenge ever. Goodbye, Atlantic, and good riddance.

It's on TV too.
http://heyitsjustablogman.blogspot.com/2009/11/bwah-ha-ha.html

And what about this...
http://heyitsjustablogman.blogspot.com/2009/11/kill-him-and-bomb-his-house.html

The negative rhetoric increasingly being hurled against Christians in the USA is eerily similar to the German National Socialist rhetorical campaign in the early 40's.

[...] As the Doc points out, one could as easily state that African-Americans and Latinos caused the housing crisis and subsequent crash. The article also does a nice job of misrepresenting Christianity by conflating it with the prosperity gospel; identifies tithing, which is a mainstream Protestant practice as a prosperity gospel practice; and takes a gratuitous swipe at Sarah Palin. Go read the post over at The Doctor Is In.
Well done. In particular, one of the reason that people like to castigate people like Sarah Palin and other conservative Christian families for teenaged pregnancies is because their kids do not not have abortions. In my gilded suburbs, their are some debated statistics that one third of the girls who graduate from our high school have had abortions. It is not clear to me if one in three girls, or repeat offenders. But the point is, many many teenagers (Christian and non-Christian) have sex. Those that have abortions often succeed in pretending to have their act together, and their families look functional by comparison with the loving family that will not add murder to the list of mistakes made by a hotblooded kid.
